2020 brought new challenges as parties and social gatherings were off the agenda. Fortunately, Doddington and Mount Ephraim were able to open for some of the season, so I had a bit of regular work to do, but when they closed for their annual hibernation at the end of October, I found myself staring at a winter of no work. My daughter suggested Christmas hampers which I immediately loved the idea of, so I launched my Christmas Bakery menu. I got loads of orders and was delivering all over the local area throughout December (and fulfilling postal orders too) and it was really lovely. I decided to extend the delivery idea into the New Year and came up with my Winter Warmers menu – warming, comforting dishes delivered to your door – and I also offered an Easter Bakery menu. The home delivery is definitely something I want to continue, hence having a section on it on this website, but it won’t be an all year round thing, so please keep an eye on the news section for announcements.
Even if I’m not doing a special menu or seasonal items, please feel free to order food for your freezer or a family gathering at any time. If I can fit it in, I’m only to happy to make a large fish pie or lasagne for example, or portion up a big casserole into smaller servings – please just ask and I will try my best to accommodate you.
